Mit Unterstützung zum Erfolg

2008 eröffnete Lydria einen Fiseur- und Beautysalon in Nairobi. Da sie jedoch nicht über das nötige Equipment und kaufmännische Wissen verfügte, wandte sie sich an Imani. Dort bekam sie nicht nur Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Marketing, Buchhaltung und Kundenservice vermittelt, sondern wurde auch Teil einer Selbsthilfegruppe für Unternehmer und Unternehmerinnen, die sie heute sogar selbst leitet. Mithilfe eines Mikrokredits konnte sie zusätzlich Geräte und Utensilien anschaffen, um ihren Kunden einen angemessenen Service zu bieten und ein nachhaltig erfolgreiches Geschäft aufzubauen. Mittlerweile beschäftigt sie drei Mitarbeiter und hat bereits mehrere junge Menschen ausgebildet, um auch ihnen eine Perspektive für die Zukunft zu geben.

With support to success

In 2008 Lydiah opened up a hair and beauty salon in Nairobi. Because she did not have the necessary equipment and the commercial knowledge, she sought support at Imani. There she did not only gain knowledge in the areas of marketing, accounting and customer service, but also became part of the self-help group for entrepreneurs, which she is running today. By means of a microcredit she could buy additional equipment and utensils, and offer her customers the appropriate service and to build up a sustainably successful business. Meanwhile she has hired three employees and has already trained several young people, providing them with a perspective for their future.
