Practical training next to vocational school as a novelty

Victor Manuel Guerrero works at Mondi in Mexico and is one of the teachers, who have been training apprentices in the course of Mondi’s dual education programme. The training started in fall 2014 and has been supported by ICEP. Integrating young people in complex working processes and the practical training next to vocational school is a novelty in Mexico. ,,It has shown to be rather easy to integrate the apprentices into daily work processes. My apprentices learnt very quickly how to operate the machines safely and are highly motivated to develop further skills.’’, says Victor. ,,It is a mutual exchange, because they did not only learn from me, but I also learnt from them.’’
