Success Story
Lydiah Achieng Nzwia
Project: Entrepreneurship-Training (2009)
,,I am happy about the trust I received with this loan and I hope that other people can also make this experience.“
With support to success
In 2008 Lydiah opened up a hair and beauty salon in Nairobi. Because she did not have the necessary equipment and the commercial knowledge, she sought support at Imani. There she did not only gain knowledge in the areas of marketing, accounting and customer service, but also became part of the self-help group for entrepreneurs, which she is running today. By means of a microcredit she could buy additional equipment and utensils, and offer her customers the appropriate service and to build up a sustainably successful business. Meanwhile she has hired three employees and has already trained several young people, providing them with a perspective for their future.
